Little brown bitches sometimes get overlooked, but Kimmee had not heard that comment.

She went to her first dog show at Skokie Valley at age 6 months and showed to Mrs Gloria Geringer, and went Winners Bitch from the 6-9 puppy class. The following day, she was Winners Bitch again at the International Kennel Club of Chicago under Ms. Gloria Kerr.

A month later, she was Winners Bitch from the Bred By class under Mr. James Reynolds at the American Spaniel Club.

Kimmie was Best of Breed at the American Kennel Club National Show in December 2020 under Mr Sam Houston MacDonald, and 2 weeks later, she was Best of Opposite under Ms Carol Hathaway at American Spaniel Club.

Kimmie won numerous Sporting Groups and was Best in Show under Mr Bradley Jenkins at Mid-Del-Tinker.

Bred to CH Foxboro Rendition Top Call, (“McClain”), she produced a litter of 7 and we are eagerly watching them grow up.

McConaughey, named after Matthew McConauhey who starred in the movie “Interstellar,” started his career in 2018 with Erin and ended the year as #1 ESS Owner Handled, #5 Sporting OH, and #23 All-Breed OH. In 2019, he was shown by his co-owner, Janice Hayes, and finished as the Runner-Up Show Dog of the year and #11 Sporting dog. 2020 was, of course, the year of the Pandemic. Competing in a limited amount of shows, McConaughey finished the year as the #1 ESS in all-breed competition, #3 Sporting, and #11 amongst all breeds, and Runner-Up in Breed points. McConaughey will enjoy retirement with Erin and Ryan swimming, hiking, running FastCat, and competing as a veteran at specialties.

Truly, this girl has been competitive from the first time she stepped into the ring. At just a little over 4 months, Avery showed in a highly-competitive 4-6 class at the Chattahoochee Specialty and came away with Back-to-Back Best. Yes, it was highly competitive, but what was notable about her first show was all the comments I received about her being brown. As I adore both liver and black and whites, it is quite unusual for me to have a liver and white springer. I knew early, this “Brownie” was going nowhere. Avery finished with three 5-point specialty majors, including Best of Winners and Best Bred-By at the 2019 ESSFTA National specialty. I looked at 2020 as an opportunity to play with a young female in the specials ring, and although the year was challenging to say the least, Avery shined. Completely breeder owner handled, Avery started the year off by winning Back-to-Back Sporting Group Ones just prior to the cancellation of all dog shows. Once we could return, Avery won multiple Best of Breeds and Best Opposites at the specialties, including at Lake Erie ESSA, DFWESSA and San Antonio. It was fun to share the top Springer rankings of the year with her brother, GCH Dalsland Kytra Crossroad If I Could Turn Back Time, Sonny. Very proud of these two kids, the product of 17-year-old semen by Ch. Lordillea Stonihill Foto-Op. Thank you to Laurie Green for allowing us to include him in our breeding program. Glad to share this recognition with friends and partners, Susie Shore and Dana Lodge. I’m STILL SMITTEN WITH MY BROWNIE.

Kringle and Chris

I am proud and honored for Chris to be recognized as the ESSFTA Sire of the Year. He has been a consistent producer of excellent movers and great temperaments. When people ask me about breeding to him I tell them, "If you like Chris then you will like what he produces because he produces himself." I would like to thank all the breeders that have used Chris in their breeding program and especially to Rebecca Gear of Kehre Springers who finished all 7 of the puppies in her litter out of her bitch, "Selfie" GCH Kehre's Mirror Mirror who is recognized as the 2020 Dam of the Year. At the time of this award Chris has produced 17 champions with many more to come. Chris Started his show career in June of 2016. That year he was awarded 1 All-Breed BIS, 6 RBIS, and 27 Group 1st. He was the ESSFTA Runner-Up Show Dog of the Year in 2017. In that year he had 8 All-Breed BIS, 7 RBIS and 44 Group 1st and 4 Best In Specialties. He was the #7 Sporting Dog and #2 ESS all systems. In 2018 he was ESSFTA Show Dog of the Year. He received 12 All-Breed BIS, 7 RBIS, 54 Group 1st and 11 Best In Specialties. He was the #3 Sporting Dog and #1 ESS all systems. He was the winner of the Top Twenty in 2017 and Winner of the Top Twenty People's Choice Award in 2019. Thank you to all the Breeders and Owners that made this award possible. We, DEFINITELY, Have Had The Time Of Our Lives!!!!!!!!!

WHAT A REFLECTION - “MIRROR MIRROR” What a great dog to have and share with Rebecca. We have shown her in Conformation and Obedience. Selfie is a true and outstanding representation of the breed. She is a sweet and loyal companion. Selfie gets along well with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and is a great addition to our home. Selfie was first bred to GCHP Foxboro Cristolino and produced seven Get. All seven finished their as AKC Champions and all under the age of 18 months. Of these seven champions, two have finished their Grand Championship. The male has multiple Group placements, and the female has multiple Best in Sweeps. We have repeated the breeding and are anxious to see what five male pups produced will accomplish, born December 26, 2020. Congratulations to Rebecca and the owners for all the hard work. We are all truly elated and appreciative of this prestigious award. MORE REFLECTIONS TO COME

"I don't need another Black and White boy dog." That's exactly what Janice Johnson was thinking as she and Mary Osbun watched this stunningly beautiful, bold, but undoubtedly male puppy in the litter. But there was something about him that just wouldn't be denied and Truman became part of the Wil-Orion pack.

Truman finished his championship with all Specialty majors, including finishing his championship by going Winners Dog and Best of Winners at the 2018 National Specialty. Respected Breeder Judge, Doug Johnson, had this to say about Truman:

My winners dog became the most appealing of everything for me. The correct outline, substantial in bone and body, balanced and no one feature standing out. The head, long and clean, his expression impossible to deny. His condition superior, with hard muscles and shiny black coat and glistening white feathering. I would be happy to own this dog. He has a great deal to offer.

Truman was shown sparingly prior to the planned start of his specials career in 2020 - unfortunately, the pandemic had other ideas! He spent most of 2020 "vacationing" in California with Bill McFadden and headed back to the Midwest in the fall to begin his partnership with Robin Novak, Laura King, and the Daybreak crew. We could not be more thrilled with how much this team has accomplished already - Best in Show, Reserve Best in Show, Multi -Best in Specialty Show, multiple group winning and group placing, and Best of Breed at the 2021 Westminster Kennel Club.

Truman has already proven himself as an outstanding sire with multiple Best in Sweeps, 2019 Sweeps Extravaganza winner, major pointed and champion get. Most importantly, he is a joy to live with and is everything a Springer Spaniel should be! We are honored to be recognized as Runner Up Show Sire in 2020.
