2010 SHOW SPRINGER AND SHOW BITCH OF THE YEAR
GCH CH CERISE TENDER IS THE NIGHT
Zelda
Owned by Dorothy Cherry, Carl Blaine and
Fran Sunseri

This is the fifth year (fourth in succession) that a Cerise Springer has won ESSFTA Show Springer of the Year. Cerise is honored and humbled by this achievement. We would like to give special credit to Howard Huber who won
the last four years on three of our champions! Bravo Howard!

Zelda is the “once in a lifetime” Springer bitch, the culmination of the Cerise breeding program. She brings together the Salilyn, Southampton and Telltale lines, following in
the footsteps of her illustrious grandmothers; Ch. Cerise Winsome Winter Rose (Rosie) was ESSFTA Show Springer of the Year 2004, OS at the National 2007 and AOM Westminster 2010 (at nine years of age). She was All Breed Brood Bitch 2007. Her
paternal grandmother, Ch. Southampton Take Charge Lady (Hannah) went OS at both the National and Westminster.

Zelda won her first specialty BOB at 18 months, followed by a Group II. At her first weekend as a special, she won BOB at
Specialty, a Group I and group placements. She moved quickly on to multiple BIS – BISS. She won BOB at Eastern and Select Bitch at the ESSFTA National 2010. She then won AOM at Westminster 2011. After nine months, she ended 2010 Number One ESS
All Systems in March 2011 and Number Two Sporting Dog. She never looked back.

Zelda is the first Springer bitch specialed by Howard Huber. Theirs is a love affair. Her beauty is only surpassed by her joy of living. She never approaches
the ring without her characteristic enthusiasm. She is a “merry” spaniel, outgoing and self confident.

We are delighted that Carl Blaine and Fran Sunseri have joined our team as Zelda’s co-owners. We are hoping to breed her to her great
grandfather, Ch. Salilyn Condor “Robert” upon completion of her show career. We feel sure our future rests securely in her capable genes.

2010 SHOW DOG OF THE YEAR
GCH CH WIL-ORION'S TWENTY TWENTY
Titus
Owned by Laurie Green, Erica Johnson, Erline Jesseman and Janice Johnson

What can you say about a dog that
you saw in the showring and your good friend nudges you to say "you should like this dog, he's right up your alley". She was right!

Titus has accomplished more than we could have ever imagined and he has surpassed all the goals we ever
set for him. He has won 9 specialties including Eastern and back to back BOB wins at ESSCM. He has also won 2 Best In Shows and numerous group ones. His most impressive wins was his back to back Best of Breed wins at Westminster.

Titus
is a wonderful represetative of the Wil-Orion breeding program. It is an honor to share his career with Janice and Erica Johnson, his co-owners and co-breeders and always to share his career with my good friend Erline Jesseman.
We talk
about dogs that have "heart" and we believe that this is what has made Titus so special. He is an exceptional springer who gives all of him whether it is in the ring or sitting with his owners.

Titus has been shown throughout his career
by his handler Jody Paquette. It is this bond and team that has made Titus as successful has he has become and we thank Jody and Leonardo for all their support.

2010 RUNNER-UP SHOW DOG OF THE YEAR
GCH CH OTEIN CAP'N JACK SPARROW
Jack
Owned by Gerald Ryser, Jean Ryser, Bob Nieto and Lori Nieto

What a year 2010 was! And
to be owned by a dog like Cap’n Jack. Jack really didn’t start his Specials career until late February 2010 but then things took off. Under the guidance of his friend and handler, Lynda O’Connor-Schneider Jack managed to amass a Best In Show,
7 Specialty Best of Breeds, 17 Group 1’s and over 30 other Group placements.

To think this was all accomplished by a dog we purchased as a replacement for a 14 year old house pet we had lost just before Jack’s litter was
whelped.

Thanks to Bob and Lori Nieto, Jack’s breeders, for sharing this “perfect” Springer Spaniel with us. Also, a special thanks to Lynda and Dave Schneider for the excellent care and love they have given our boy over the past
year.

2010 RUNNER-UP SHOW BITCH OF THE YEAR
GCH CH
MAR-RIC KAYNDEE LEGACY
Gracie
Owned by Mary Batson and Rick Perkins

We could not be prouder of our Gracie, where do we begin? She has amazed and thrilled us since she was a pup in the whelping box. She stood strong, confident and
surefooted amongst her siblings, wagging her tail constantly. It was obvious early on that she possessed the same qualities of her top winning Sire, and Dam. She was registered with the name “Legacy” as a tribute to them and given the call
name of Gracie to recognize how gracefully she carried herself as a pup.

She became quite a tomboy, preferring to run, rump, and bounce off of anything around her. She developed a powerful chest and rear early on with a full beautiful
coat. Her power, grace, and natural athleticism gave us goose bumps one day when we watched her at play, when at only 9 months of age; she effortlessly sailed over a 10 foot tarp that was laying out flat in the yard to dry. She rounded the
corner in full stride, approached it without hesitation, and leaped with such power that she cleared it and landed without missing a step and kept on moving never looking back. She looked like a graceful deer, we stood there in amazement, and
we knew she had something special.

A closer bond could not have been formed between Gracie and her handler and best friend Randy Schepper. Gracie grew into a very beautiful powerful competitive bitch; Randy turned those attributes into
a winning career. It started at an early age when they won their first Best of Breed above Specials in the ring and on to their first Group 3 at 15 months of age prior to finishing her Championship. Together they won many Best of Opposite,
Best of Breed, Specialty Best of Breed, and Group placements.

Gracie was retired from the Show ring in 2010 to be bred. We are looking forward to seeing what she produces taking her “Legacy” forward.

2010 SHOW SIRE OF THE YEAR
CH SPRINGBROOK TAGALONGMYOWNMAGIC
Owen
Owned by Sarah Kraft, Rebecca Hoskins and Paul Kraft

I am thankful
every day for the opportunity of sharing my life with Owen, and for all of the wonderful experiences and friendships I've encountered along the way. At age 11, he is still a healthy, funny boy with his trademark smile that always makes you
laugh. I am enormously grateful to all of the breeders that have contributed to Owen's success as a sire -- and eternally so to his breeder and co-owner Rebecca who entrusted me with the pretty little puppy with a cowlick on his nose.
Congratulations to all of Owen's Champions -- in conformation, performance venues, and couch companionship -- and to their owners and breeders who have made this all possible.

2010 SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR (3-way tie)
CH BIRCHWOOD'S FIFTH ELEMENT
Mon~Chi
Owned by Robert Satoloe

When Mon~Chi came into this world I actually knew from the
moment she hit the ground that this girl was truly special. I actually was in a heated discussion with an old collage friend, Cyndy Gray, stating Mon~Chi was going to be very big, the best, tops, where Cyndy stated I could not possibly know of
such a thing at the time she was an hour old. Guess what, I won! Crow was not on Cyndy's menue still to this day in 2011.

Though I have had many Birchwood ESS's win at specialities never a one where I was on the end of the lead,
Mon~Chi was my first. Yeh, I did it! So with that I knew she was bound to compete at Specialties ONLY for that was the way she was going to achieve her American championship title. Thanks to Howard Huber for being available and believing in my
madness to hit the specialities. OK, I know Howard asked a few folks if I was really serious, gee, I was and this paid off as well as quickly.

Mon~Chi was bred to BIS/BISS CH. Pawmark's Northern Lights which produced 3 CH.'s, Int. N.
Puppy Ch. Am/Ch. Birchwood's Maxwell Last Dance, BIS. Int. Ch. Birchwood's Tropical Night Feavor RA, CGC, CTA & Int. Ch. Am. Ch. Birchwood's Rock the Boat Ba~B.

Next breeding to Int./Am. CH. Birchwood's Tryst At Pawmarc which
produced 2 CH.'s, BIS. Int. Ch. / Am. CH. Birchwood's Ob-La-Di Ob- La- Da & Am. Ch. Birchwood's Savoy Truffle.

Mon~Chi's last breeding was to Esspecial Moonlite Express which produced Int. Ch. Am. Ch. Birchwood's My Little
Demon.

2 more, as I write, completing their American CH. titles are, Birchwood's Revolution You Make Loving Fun and Birchwood's Black Jack Blues.

Pat Wilaby, Howard & Heidi Huber, Karen & Tom Orr, Susan & Ed Shrank,
Debbie & Don Bush, Lesly May & John, JC, Ginger & Terri Callahan, Yvonne Stickelman, Geri Wray, Debbie & Alton Maxwell. Personally with gratitude, I thank all of you for believing in my madness and Mon~Chi's qualities for a
stable future for all to continue through our futures.

It is not how many Champion dogs we create, it is how many, STABLE, healthy dog's do we produce.

2010 SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR (3-way tie)
CH STREAMLINE'S FOREVER YOUNG
COCO
Owned by Renee and Jeff Holt

Coco was placed into a family pet home as a
puppy. Due to a family automobile accident that left one person in the hospital and subsequently the nursing home, the owners asked if we could take her back. We happily agreed, and upon her return we decided to complete her
championship.

Coco only had two litters: the first sired by Ch. Wil-Orion’s Northern Exposure and the last sired by Ch. Springbrook’s Tagalongmyownmagic. These two litters have produced five champions with two more that are on their
way. Coco is a sweet, tolerant girl who has never met a stranger. We are happy to have her offspring as our next generation of show dogs and producers as they possess many of her endearing qualities.

Coco’s mother, grandmother, and
great grandmother were all ESSFTA runner-up dams of the year. So we are thrilled to keep this tradition going for 4 generations…only this time, we stepped it up a notch.

2010 SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR (3-way tie)
CH CERISE KISS ME KATE CD RN NAJ WD
Katey
Owned by Dorothy Cherry and Kathryn Kirk

As a puppy, Katey won three consecutive specialty BOW and
three sweepstakes. She was #1 Brood Bitch at Eastern English Springer Spaniel Club twice in succession.

Sadly, Katie passed away last summer. She was one of the great spirits of our breed, loved by the many trainers who secured six
titles for her. She was in pursuit of another at the end of her life.

Katey was dam of the beloved Ch. Cerise Jesse James and eight additional champions. Jesse James was Number One ESS 2009 and 2010 (all systems), Number Six Sporting
Dog 2009, BOW Eastern 2007, BOB Eastern Springer Spaniel Club and BOB ESSFTA National 2010.

Her South American champion, Ch. Cerise Red Hot n’ Blue (Porter) has attained five all BIS and is currently Number Two Sporting Dog in Columbia.
Her daughter, Ch. Cerise Anything Goes (Esther) won Sweepstakes Futurity and Winners Bitch at Eastern ESSC 2010 and, finally, Can. Ch. Cerise Oo La La (Henrietta) went BOW at the Canadian ESS National and Best Puppy in the show.

It was
not possible to look at Katey without a smile coming on your face. Our line owes much of its competitive spirit to her. She had no equal in her desire to achieve and in her fine conformation. There will never be another Katey Camper
Kirk.

2010 RUNNER-UP SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR (6-way tie)
CH
CERISE RUN FOR THE ROSES
Delilah
Owned by Dorothy Cherry, Rosemary Fugit and Kathryn Kirk

“Delilah,” (born on Kentucky Derby day and thus named “Cerise Run for the Roses”), beloved companion of Marie and William Doherty, was a joy
to behold. She is blessed with a fine show personality, which is combined with a soft and gentle demeanor. As a young puppy, Delilah accompanied her dam, Rosie, to Scott Sommer in Texas, where she was shown by Adam Peterson to great success.
She returned to Cerise to win OS at Sweepstakes in Falmouth with Kathy Kirk, and to finish her championship there at a supported entry.

She met her new family on the Cape. They implored me to let them have her, promising to keep her for
us as a brood bitch. I reluctantly agreed, but they have provided the perfect Springer home. I am so grateful.

Delilah produced four champions, three bred to Ch. Kirwin Sir Lancelot, and a singleton puppy from her breeding to Ch.
Ramblewood Johnny B. Goode.

2010 RUNNER-UP SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR (6-way tie)
CH CERISE SOUTHHAMPTON MY HEARTS
DESIRE
Desiree
Owned by Dorothy Cherry and Donna Herzig

Dam of our ESSFTA Show Springer of the Year, “Zelda,” four other champions, and a number of our finest pointed contenders, Desi is very near and dear to my heart. She was a
gift from my friend, Donna Herzig, and her Southampton line breeding has been evident from the start. Her dam, Ch. Southampton Take Charge Lady, “Hannah,” won Opposite Sex at the Westminster Kennel Club and the ESSFTA National.

A small
bitch, she never campaigned as a special, but she still managed to go Opposite Sex at Eastern and the Harrisburg specialty.

She shares my bed at night and supervises the kennel by day. She runs the hills of Connecticut with a joy
unequalled by her peers. She passed on to her illustrious daughter her breathtaking movement and the carriage of a champion. Desi is truly a girly girl. No Cerise bio is complete without her.

CH DARTEK'S DREAM A LITTLE DREAM CD RN
Darla
Owned by Greta Dalrymple

"Darla" Ch Dartek's Dream a Little Dream CD RN (Ch Tiffany's You've Been Warned x Ch Dartek's Eldamar Influence) was bred by
Tekla Viker & Julie Roberts, and is owned by Greta Dalrymple & Tekla Viker.

Darla is the foundation bitch at Stonehenge. Exclusively shown to all of her titles by myself, she has been a wonderful foundation for our future in the
breed. The dam of Champions, her greatest accomplishment is being dam to a number of wonderful beloved pets. She loved to show, thought obedience was pretty fun and most of all, truly loved her time as a mother in the whelping box. Now spayed
and retired from breeding, Darla continues to oversee the everyday happenings from the couch, while taking the occasional break to help raise her grandchildren or take a vacation with her friends to a grooming competition.

2010 RUNNER-UP SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR (6-way tie)
CH KYTRA'S KREME BRULEE
Sydney
Owned by Dana Lodge and Susie
Shore

We are so proud of this unassuming girl, whose career included specialty wins at both the Dallas Fort Worth English Springer Spaniel Assn. and the San Antonio English Springer Spaniel Club. However, we are most proud of her one
and only breeding to Ch. Kytra's Keep To The Kode, a breeding that represents the first time in 25 years we bred our own female to our own male. The result gave us a litter of 7 females, of which we finished three. The first was Grand Ch.
Studio N Kytra's Kreme de Kassis, NA, NAJ (Kassie), who finished with THREE 5 points specialty majors, a first in the history of Studio/Kytra. Kassie went on to become our first Grand Champion and the number 3 Grand Champion springer female
in 2010. Her littermate Grand Ch. Studio N Kytra's The Black Pearl also did well at the specialties and is currently a top 10 ESS bitch of 2011. The third to finish was Ch. Studio N Kytra's Kastaway our consummate babysitter who cares for
her two young boys that own her. Sydney, gave us a beautiful litter and we couldn't be prouder.

CH STUDIO N KYTRAS KLAIRVOYANT
Klara
Owned by Susie Shore and Dana Lodge

To be eligible for a Parent Club award with one of our girls is wonderful but to be recognized with two in the same year
is so rewarding for we have worked hard to produce quality females that we could move into the future with. Both of our girls were bred to our own dog, Ch. Kytra's Keep to the Kode. It took us 25 years to feel our pedigrees were diverse
enough to come back home. The result gave us what we called the Osmonds, 4 boys and one girl, three of which we finished; Donny, Ch. Studio N Kytra's Chandagnac's Kode Jay, Ch. Studio N Kytra's Key Largo Jimmy, Ch. Studio N Siobhan's
Saratoga and Merrill and Marie who are enjoying life in Texas. We are extremely grateful to the owners of our kids that allowed us to show them and who provide them the best home any dog could wish for. We'd like to dedicate this award to
Klara's mother Ch. Studio N Kytra's Katchmeifukan (Ally) 1999-2011.
